Mr. Hamad Abdulmohsen Al-Marzouq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Banking Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Finance House, announced that the Association’s Board of Directors unanimously approved the appointment of Shaikha Al-Essa as Secretary General of the Kuwait Banking Association. This move reflects the Board’s confidence in national talent and embodies the Association’s institutional commitment to empowering Kuwaiti women and enhancing their presence in leadership and decision-making positions, particularly within the banking sector.
Al-Marzouq explained that this appointment aligns with the Kuwait Banking Association’s vision to elevate its institutional performance, strengthen its effectiveness in representing member banks, and keep pace with the rapid changes in the banking and financial sectors. This will be achieved by utilizing national leaders who possess the experience, competence, and ability to effectively lead the Association through the next phase.
On this occasion, the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors extended their sincere congratulations to the new Secretary General, Shaikha Al-Essa, on assuming this position. They wished her success in her new role and affirmed their full support for her efforts to enhance the Association’s role and foster cooperation among member banks, ultimately serving the Kuwaiti banking sector and the national economy.
