Chairman’s Message

On behalf of myself and my fellow Board members, I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA). I wish this esteemed institution and its member banks ongoing success and prosperity, contributing to Kuwait’s development and meeting the evolving needs of its banking sector and customers with world-class services.

Hamad Abdulmohsen Al Marzouq
Chairman, KBA

Our success hinges on effectively collaborating with the Board and committees to achieve the KBA’s 2001 vision: strengthening local banks, advocating for their interests, and driving national economic and community development. Through close cooperation with the Central Bank of Kuwait, we will elevate banking performance, strengthen the economy, and embrace global banking advancements.

In fulfilling its national responsibility, the KBA will actively pursue practical objectives encompassing social, economic, and institutional contributions. The KBA will provide steadfast support to the State of Kuwait’s development initiatives, under the esteemed leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah. This support will be manifested through the fortification of the banking sector’s pivotal role as a partner in national development, thereby contributing to the state’s civilizational advancement project. This project is aligned with the 2035 development plan and its associated programs, projects, and forward-looking economic vision, which prioritizes economic and service enhancements to effect positive changes and achieve a transformative impact for citizens and society.

We are highly optimistic that the KBA will continue to play a crucial role in ensuring banking stability and driving economic growth in Kuwait. We pray that Allah grants our nation continued security and prosperity, and that the vision of our leadership for progress and development is fully realized, now and in the future.

In closing, I wish to convey my sincere gratitude to the members of the KBA Board of Directors for their unwavering dedication to the organization’s objectives. I am confident that the banking sector will experience sustained progress and development.
I also extend my thanks to the representatives of the member banks in the KBA’s committees for their cooperative engagement with the sector’s issues through insightful discussions and suggestions. Furthermore, I commend the KBA’s General Secretariat and its employees for their dedicated efforts in achieving the KBA’s goals.
