The Board of Directors of the Kuwait Banking Association stated that, in response to the Association’s responsibility to the humanitarian situation in the Kingdom of Morocco and in solidarity with the efforts made to alleviate the suffering of the Moroccan people as a result of the devastating earthquake that struck the country, and based on the directives of the Political Leadership, the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Banking Association decided A donation of 5 million US dollars, a contribution from the Kuwaiti Banks, to provide support to the Kingdom of Morocco in its recovery and reconstruction. This comes within the framework of the Association and Kuwaiti Banks’ keenness to continue their commitment to social responsibility towards issues with a humanitarian dimension.
The Board of Directors of the Kuwait Banking Association expressed their sincere condolences to the families of the victims, asking God Almighty to bestow His forgiveness upon them and to lift the calamity from the brotherly Moroccan people.
