As part of its commitment to fostering a culture of safety and prevention and enhancing rapid response to emergencies in the workplace, the Kuwait Banking Association, in cooperation with the MENA LIFE HUB health accreditation and training platform, organized a specialized training course accredited by the American Society for Safety and Health (ASHI/HSI) in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Representatives from the banking sector participated in the course.
The course was delivered by international ASHI/HSI trainers from the Kuwait Society for Crisis and Emergency Management. Its aim was to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills for handling emergencies and to enable them to administer first aid correctly, thus contributing to a rapid response to incidents and ensuring the safety of individuals until the arrival of emergency services. The training program included a range of theoretical and practical modules, covering emergency assessment, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). It also addressed managing choking, bleeding, burns, fractures and injuries, strokes, heart attacks, respiratory distress, severe allergic reactions, and other medical emergencies.
The course featured intensive practical exercises, enabling participants to practice essential skills according to the latest international standards. This enhanced their preparedness to handle various emergencies efficiently and confidently. The program was based on an accredited training curriculum designed to develop knowledge and practical skills in first aid, CPR, and the use of an AED.
This initiative reflects the Kuwait Banking Association’s commitment to supporting a safer and more prepared work environment by providing high-quality training programs that raise awareness and enhance the practical skills of banking sector employees.
